CBC brought to court for “Stalinistic censorship” of COVID-19 information

Constitutional attorney Rocco Galati has filed a lawsuit in the Ontario Superior Court against the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation for “knowingly refusing to cover and publish the valid and sound criticism of the COVID measures by recognized experts.” Such violation, Galati points out, has “been described by the UK scientific community as ‘Stalinist censorship’…”

Galati represents the case I reported last week which also holds guilty the Government of Canada, its Prime Minister and Chief Medical Officer, in addition to the CBC.

“We have not named other media outlets,” Galati explains at the press conference, “because [the] CBC is an exception, in that it is a publicly funded, public broadcaster, pursuant to statutory mandate under the broadcast act setup by the federal government.”

In other words, Canadians are forced to pay the CBC to report the news, so we have every right to hold their feet to the fire when they turn into a totalitarian propaganda tool. Just like the BBC. (As an ironic aside, Canadians are also forced to pay both the CBC and the BBC money to produce Doctor Who – a sci-fi show about a doctor who stops monsters from taking over the world. Alas, in reality, we are stuck with another kind of Doctor W.H.O.)

“And, as such,” continues Galati, “my client seeks a declaration that the CBC, as a publicly funded broadcaster, under the broadcast act, owes a fiduciary duty to be fair, independent, impartial, objective and responsible in its news coverage and investigation of the COV-pandemic and the COVID measures, which fiduciary duty it has flagrantly and knowingly breached….

“The CBC has knowingly and intentionally suppressed, censored and unjustifiably belittled expert opinion [that is] opposed and critical of the WHO and government line on COVID; and, as such, has propagated misinformation and false news. “

Here’s a 7-minute segment from the press conference. Please consider even a $5 donation to the legal fund. Regardless of whether you are Canadian, helping us win this battle would be one big step towards stopping COVID tyranny in your own country. The world needs an example.

Please remember the words of Mahatma Gandhi from the December 8, 1921 issue of Young India:

“Let us not push the mandate theory to ridiculous extremes and become slaves to resolutions of majorities. That would be a revival of brute force in a more virulent form. If rights of minorities are to be respected, the majority must tolerate and respect their opinion and action… It will be the duty of the majority to see to it that the minorities receive a proper hearing and are not otherwise exposed to insults.”
