Giving doughnuts to frontline workers is like giving napalm to firemen, says Bill Maher

“Krispy Kreme honoured our front-line doctors and nurses in April by giving them 18 million doughnuts; which is like honouring firemen with napalm,” says comedian Bill Maher.

“To me it’s such a scandal these doctors won’t look straight in the camera and say the number one thing you can do to improve your chances [of surviving COVID-19] is to be in better general health. And the number one route to that is an improved diet.

“To be a doctor right now and not discuss diet is like being a clown who won’t do balloon animals. Why not an all-out campaign to educate the public on the dangers of a diet of sugary chemical-laden crap?”

Instead governments are busy telling people to wear a mask, which has never been proven to save anyone from viral diseases. They give little or no PSAs to proven ways of saving people from COVID-19. But you can listen to Bill Maher’s full PSA on diet and weight loss below (contains mild profanity)…

Ironic how people are told to wear masks to pretend to protect others, but people ore not given real advice on how to protect themselves. As I talked about on Friday, 96% of those who died from COVID-19 had co-morbidities.

A vascular surgeon commented after this video: “I counsel my patients to change their diets, exercise as little as 30 minutes a day and stop smoking. Fewer than 10 percent listen or make even the slightest effort… About five months ago I got a call from a daughter of a lady who’s been gaining about 10 lbs per six months. I had offered to send her mother to a dietician [to help her] set goals for weight loss. The daughter informed me they were no longer going to see me because of my ‘ fat shaming.'”
