Since when did wearing a face mask become a symbol of morality?

“My apologies,” says the young lady as she takes off her face mask, “I was wearing my mask, because I just got back from a full day of being a good person… I decided a long time ago that shallow and insignificant gestures are a much easier way to showcase my morality than actually being moral.”

So begins a short, comical and hard-hitting meme on how virtuous mask wearing is bringing on “an impending socialist technocracy that will enslave the global population.”

Of course, most people wearing a mask don’t have such malefic or egotistical intents. Nonetheless, it does seem that they are being tricked, coerced and shamed into supporting those those who do. In the end, we are all responsible for our own actions and decisions, which is why people need to look at the evidence behind wearing a germ collector in front of their face.
