“I Wear My Face Mask In My Car” (music video)

“I wear my face mask in in my car, so I can… so I can… virtue signal in my neighbourhood.” So opens this music video examining the underlying psychology of mask wearing to the tune of a pop classic…

Seeing this video, it’s no wonder why a professor of biology recently pronounced that masking is a “public shaming program” akin to Salem witch trials. Because, as the evidence shows, muzzling oneself is certainly not about stopping the spread of a virus.

Signs may say: “Be kind wear a mask.” Yet, if you consider that tests show masks actually increase the spread of bacteria, the kindest thing we might do is refuse to wear a mask as often as possible.
